The other Mexican in the mix, Sayulita-raised French-Mexican Marco Mignot, won his elimination round matchup against former champion Miguel Pupo and advanced to the event.

Mignot was efficient in the competition and, in an inconsistent sea, marked 9,27, which Pupo could not surpass, as he made 7,83.

With almost all the elimination round series completed, only the 8th was left, almost all the matchups were set.

Mignot will face Jack Robinson and Alan Cleland will face Ethan Ewing.
