Brazilian Miguel Pupo will not compete in the Bells Beach event, the fourth stop of the CT that today began its waiting period, he himself announced on social media.
“Unfortunately I am still very far from being 100%,” he said, saying that he surfed before tomorrow’s call. “It is very difficult for me to perform well at the level of winning a heat.”
He travelled to Australia with his physiotherapist and will continue working to be available in Margaret River.
Morgan Cibilic was chosen in his place as Australia's highest ranked surfer in the challengers.
