A tube at Pipe by Peruvian Miguel Tudela filmed by fellow Peruvian José Plaza was considered by Surfline and its respected panel of judges as one of the five best waves surfed in an epic month of November at Pipeline.

Tudela entered a giant cavern at full speed, blocking him for about five seconds before he came out with the spit.

His wave entered the top five of the month along with two from Jamie O'Brien, one from Anthony Walsh and one from Seth Moniz.

The Wave of the Winter is one of the most prestigious awards in surfing, rewarding the best wave surfed during the season in the mecca of surfing.

Thanks to his performance at Pipe, Tudela has already achieved the best wave in recent months.
