Miguel Tudela was injured and will not be able to participate in the Pipe Masters
Whether it is done or not, the Peruvian is outside
Peruvian surfer Miguel Tudela fractured four ribs after a tube closed on him during a free surfing session that took place today in Pipe and this will keep him out of the Pipe Masters, if it is held, he himself reported on his Instagram account.
"Unfortunately, I got caught in a wave, I didn't get out of the tube and it sent me straight to the reef. I hit my ribs hard and the diagnosis is four broken ribs. I wanted to let you know that I won't be able to continue with the Pipe Masters," he says in the video.
And he adds: "These things happen, the hazards of the job, now I have to recover so I can get back to doing what I like most as soon as possible."
Tudela thanks the people who accompanied him and helped him after the accident. He explained that for a while he could not breathe properly because of the pain.
"A little sad and sorry," the message ends. "We're still moving forward," it ends.
Tudela had earned his entry into the Pipe Masters after finishing second in the trials.
