More than 80 surfers are registered for the Surf City El Salvador ALAS Pro, which will take place between November 23 and 26 on the waves of Las Flores on the wild eastern coast of El Salvador.

The list published by ALAS Pro Tour shows several outstanding surfers such as former ISA world champion Jhony Corzo, former MLA champion and former world vice-champion Mimi Barona, the silver medalist in Lima 2019 Julián Schweizer and the Pan American and Latin surfing champion, and defending champion of the event, Lolo Bellorín.

Other highlights include: former world longboard champion Tony Silvagni, former Latin champion Jonathan Chila, the talented young top 15 rider in the world Candelaria Resano, another young talent such as Rubiana Brownell and the Peruvian Sol Aguirre who has just won her historic fourth South American youth title.

There will be four divisions with the highest range of points to be distributed: Open, Open women, longboard and junior.

The stage will be decisive in defining the men's title because it is the last important stage, six prime stars, of the calendar.

If JJ López, the leader of the ranking, wins the championship or achieves a good position without the rest of his rivals advancing, he will guarantee himself the ALAS title. Meanwhile, Mimi Barona, with an important stage remaining in Arica, will have to have better luck than JJ because the final stage awards a considerable 2200 points.
