Morocco has secured the African slot for Tokyo 2020
Ramzi Boukhiam put one and a half feet into surfing's debut at the Olympic Games

Moroccan Ramzi Boukhiam, who climbed into the sixth round of the main event of the ISA World Surfing Games presented by Vans taking place in Miyazaki, Japan, has just placed one and a half feet into Tokyo 2020, according to calculations made by DUKE.
Boukhiam is the only African surfer left in the competition after South Africa's Michael February lost in the seventh round of the repechage.
In addition, he met the eligibility requirement because he is guaranteed to be among the top 30 at the event.
Now, basically, for Boukhiam to not make it to Tokyo, two other Moroccans would have to place in the top five eligible in the last qualifying route, the 5 World Surfing Games, something quite difficult.
In any case, what can be assured is that Morocco will be in Tokyo 2020 no matter what.
