It wasn't given to Nacho in Joaquina
The Argentine fell in the round of 64 and missed out on the challengers; "I'm still looking to improve and enjoying this process!" he reflected optimistically.
After a very strong season, Argentine Nacho Gundensen fell just short of the challengers' spot after falling in the round of 64 today at the QS 3000 tournament being held in Joaquina, Floripa.
Gundensen couldn't find his rhythm in his heat against Rafael Barbosa, Rodrigo Saldanha and Douglas Silva, clocking 5,93 and placing fourth.
Nacho was ninth in the rankings and needed to move up two places to be in the top 7 and qualify.
"Thank you to surfing for this opportunity! The 24/25 season is coming to an end. Today didn't go as expected. The ocean sometimes helps us, sometimes not so much. But that's the beauty of this sport and the daily challenge," Nacho said on his Instagram.
“I'm still looking to improve and enjoying this process!” he added. “Thank you so much to everyone who was cheering me on and sending good vibes. Today marks the start of a new season, more motivated and prepared for what's next!”
