Nacho Gundensen continued on the right foot today at the Saquarema Challenger, finishing in second place in his round of 32 series, beating none other than the 10-point man Joel Vaughan and top 15 player Jett Schilling, whose CT hopes were dashed.
Unlike what he had done in the round of 80 and 64, today the Argentine added points by going head-to-head in Itaúna, combining powerful maneuvers and suffering a little in the last exchange, although with the final results everything was in his favor.
Now he has entered the round of head-to-head matches and, since the round of 16, he is three steps away from the grand final.
He will face Imaikalani Devault in his next series, the Hawaiian is seventh in the CS rankings.
Gundensen is not a CS athlete and therefore his scores will not change the course of his professional life.
The result can bring him prestige and money (the winner of the challengers takes home $20.000).
