Nadia Erostarbe finished second and secured herself a place in the round of 16

He turned the series around in the last stages; he is waiting for his rival when the first round ends

Spanish surfer Nadia Erostarbe placed second in her debut heat of the Pipe Pro taking place at Banzai Pipeline and secured herself a spot in the round of 16 of the event.

Erostarbe started the series slowly but built up its lead. First with a 4 and then, in the last minutes when it needed a two and something, it performed three backside maneuvers to move into second.

Bella Kenworthy came in from behind, surfed well but didn't get the 3,5 she was looking for.

First up was Caroline Marks, who made a good difference with a total of 11,83. Nadia was second with 7,17 and Bella third with 6,67.

Now the surfer from the Basque Country will face the highest seed from Round 1 who will make it to the Round of 16, most likely Caitlin Simmers.
