Nadia Erostarbe reached the semis at the US Open and got back into the CT zone

With two quarter-finals and two semi-finals, the surfer from the Basque Country already has a very reasonable sum to make her dream come true with two stages remaining.

Basque surfer Nadia Erostarbe achieved a very good third place at the US Open of Surfing, a result that moved her up to fifth place in the rankings and into the qualifying zone for the CT 2025.

Erostarbe had an impeccable campaign in the event that began in the round of 32 where she beat Luana Silva, Sierra Kerr and Philippa Anderson, then defeated Kirra Pinkerton in the round of 16, Luana Silva again in the quarterfinals and finally defeated Sally Fitzgibbons who was ultimately the champion.

The result gives Nadia a score line that could qualify her for the CT, with two fifth places and two semi-finals she reaches 21660, which is quite far from the sixth, Luana Silva precisely, who has 17765.

And on the other hand, the top 5 is detached in that line:
Fourth is Erin Brooks with 22820
Third is Isabella Nichols with 24150
Second is Bella Kenworthy with 24245
First is Sally Fitzgibbons with 26915.

That is to say, the five in the qualifying zone are quite far from the rest.

The other point to keep in mind is that four of the six stages to be completed add up, so from now on the athletes must discard to add up, Nadia only adds up by improving quarter-finals, to give an example.

The next stage will be held in Ericeira between September 29 and October 6 and the sixth and final stage in Saquarema between October 12 and 20.
