The waves at Surfers Paradise, a well-formed right pointbreak suited the backside of the Zarautz native who won every heat she entered.
In the semis against Portugal's Camila Kemp, she turned around a potentially adverse result thanks to a 9 in which she broke from start to finish.
“I can’t believe it, I’m in a dream right now,” Nadia told WSL media. “The waves and the weather were great today, I had a lot of fun. There’s a really good right-hand spot close to home and I’ve been working on my backside and I’m glad it worked out. I still have a lot of work to do but it’s great to win, I feel like all the work was worth it.”
In the men's division the grand champion was Frenchman Timothee Bisso.
