Basque Nadia Erostarbe and Peruvians Miguel Tudela and Joaquín del Castillo made it to the final day of the Heroes of Mayo Iquique Pro, which celebrated its sixth day of competition today.

Del Castillo will face Jack Robinson in the quarter-finals and Miguel Tudela will face Dean Bowen. The other two quarter-finals will see Joao Chianca take on Billy Stairmand and Matthew McGillivray take on Ian Gentil.

Meanwhile, among the ladies, Nadia Erostarbe will face Gabriela Bryan and Lucía Indurain will face Meah Collins.

The day was quite intense in terms of blows. The 2004 world champion, Sofia Mulanovich, suffered a strong blow to her elbow and received eight stitches.

In the next series, Freya Prumm of Australia took a hit in the same spot and cut her head and elbow, ending up receiving three stitches in each wound.

Getting through the outside section and connecting to the shore was a huge challenge even for the best, the connecting section got very, very flat for part of the day.

Both are taking painkillers and antibiotics after being treated at a nearby hospital.

The day, which began with waves of two to four feet, ended with good conditions and some sets of four to seven. The forecast for tomorrow is for the waves to continue to grow.

The final series of the pro junior event will also be held, which have

-Leo Casal and Lucas Vicente in men
-And to Gabriela Bryan and Daniella Rosas in ladies

Tudela is very consistent and very solid and that is why he made it to the quarterfinals. Tomorrow he will face Dean Bowen.
Nobody gave Erostarbe much of an advantage in her series against Bailey Nagy but she still made it to the semis thanks to her powerful backside moves. All photos: WSL/Diaz
Lucía Indurain had a tight series against the Japanese Julie Nishimoto and badly said goodbye to the tournament.
