Natxo was second and Ramón third at the Big Wave Awards
Twiggy Baker ruined the party for Hispanics again thanks to her historic bombshell in Jaws
Natxo González's 10-point wave at the Nazaré Challenge and Ramón Navarro's Cloudbreak bomb of the century finally placed second and third respectively at the WSL Big Wave Awards held last night in Redondo Beach, California.
As in 2010 (the year of Ramón's bomb at Eddie), it was South African Twiggy Baker who spoiled the party. The wave, also historic, that he surfed during the Jaws Challenge, and which he did not complete, gave him the big win and the 65.000 dollars.
Natxo took 17.000 and Navarro 10.000. The finalists were completed by Kai Lenny and Billy Kemper, fourth and fifth respectively.
In the overall performances, the Basque was placed eighth.
