The organizers of the El Buey invitational big wave championship confirmed that this year's tournament will take place and its format. First there will be trials that will qualify three surfers and then the main event will take place.

The trial waiting period has been set for September 23 to October 10, while the main event will take place between October 11 and November 30.

According to the tournament poster, there will be $8.000 in prizes.

Last year's tournament was won by the big Argentine rider, Santiago “el Aguja” di Pace, who had a very close final with the Peruvian Sebastián Toto from Romagna.
