Nicaragua defined a strong team for the World Cup in El Salvador
These are the Nicaraguans who will go to the most important ISA World Cup in history
Presents Surf City El Salvador
The Nicaraguan surfing federation has defined its team to participate in the historic ISA world surfing championship that will take place in El Salvador between May 29 and June 6 and will classify the last 12 who will go to Tokyo 2020.
According to Gianni Landolfi, vice president of the federation, the team will be formed as follows:

Maxima Resano
“The boys are super motivated and excited, aware that they will be part of the most important surfing world championship in history, where they will have the honor of competing against the best in the world,” said Landolfi.
He added: “We are going with the right motivation to show that there is talent in Nicaragua, and to give it our all to make history and perhaps achieve a surprise and a historic qualification for the first Olympic Games that have surfing.”
The team will have the experienced Diego Naranjo as coach in the tournament.
Nicaragua has been showing great progress in its surfing in recent years, with the presence of the Resano sisters in the ISA, with their father Manuel surfing big waves around the world and with Jackson Obando and Kevin Cortez standing out in international events and also, the latter, making it into the final selection of Snapt 4.
This is a nation whose surfing is on the rise.
