The championship trophy from one of the most shocking victories in history, Nicky Wood's at Bells Beach in 1987, has been lost and the surfer's family is looking for a charitable soul to return it, the World Surf League reported in an article published on its website based on a post that the surfer's sister, Rochelle Wood, made on Facebook.

The Trophy was in a warehouse that was seized due to non-payment and its entire contents were sold at auction.

"If anyone knows where it might be, or the name of the person who currently has it or had it, I would be happy to buy it back for double what they paid," Rochelle wrote in her post.

This trophy was won in one of the most famous finals in the history of the event and of professional surfing. Wood beat the beasts of the moment, Tom Curren, Shaun Tomson and Barton Lynch at just 16 years old.

To date, Wood remains the youngest surfer to have won this event, one of the most traditional in the history of surfing.
