Young Nicolás Boos from Costa Rica has just been crowned champion of the ALAS 2024 tour after securing his place in the grand final and making it impossible for his main rivals to catch up with him with the points he had already earned.
After missing the Guatemala stage, Boos' backside surfing adapted very well to the rights of El Sunzal and he went through heat after heat until the final.
Boos turned the lead around on Carden Jagger, his friend, compatriot and rival who arrived in El Salvador as leader but lost in the quarterfinals, leaving the door open for him to take the title.
“I'm thrilled! I feel great, happy with all the work. Off to Peru now and home later,” Nico said, taking the opportunity to send his regards to his mother and friends.
The U14 final was as follows:
Nicolas Oliveira (BRA)
Nico Boos (CRC)
Lorenzo de Osma (PER)
Giacomo Messinas (PER)
