Noa Deane to compete in prestigious Shark Island bodyboarding event

One of the most talented and respected free surfers of the last 20 years, Noa Deane, has just accepted the invitation to compete in the prestigious Shark Island Challenge bodyboarding event that takes place on the prestigious slab of the same name, according to the event's Instagram account.
“With phenomenal skills in both boog and stand-up, Noa Deane’s talent is something to be admired and celebrated,” the organization says.
“We now wait in anticipation to see what this controversial but justified and deserved wildcard can muster on the infamous rock shelf known as Shark Island,” they add.
Noa Deane has always competed in special events such as the Backdoor Shootout. She is not a full-time competitor in the WSL.
He is also a talented skater, being goofy as a skater and average as a surfer.
