A few years ago, not that many, 20, 30, Peruvian and Ecuadorian surfers who had friends in Hawaii received a warning call, saying that the sea there had been gigantic.
Nothing else needed to be said: From there it was simply a matter of preparing the boards and planning the trip. To Cabo Blanco in the case of Peru and to Mar Bravo (among other spots).
The information was also valuable, of course, it was better that no one found out and I could surf the flood alone or with a few friends.
Now you can see the swells in real time on the internet and some of the magic has been lost, but inside the tube, the spell remains intact.
