Now yes: Hector Santamaria confirmed for Stab High

After a major confusion, the Puerto Rican was re-announced as a guest for the first championship to be held at the Waco, Texas pool. It is said that Dane Reynolds, Josh Kerr, Chippa Wilson and Albee Layer requested that he be there.

Stab magazine confirmed today through its social networks and on its website the invitation of Héctor Santamaría to Stab High, an aerial event that will take place this Sunday, September 22, in the waves of BSR Cable Park in Waco, Texas.

The Puerto Rican had appeared on the main list three weeks ago, then it had been mysteriously removed and now he has reappeared with a video dedicated to his confirmation (see below). In the caption they point out that they had to "sort out some details" to finally give the confirmation.

On the other hand, Stab said that Hector was the most recommended, that Dane Reynolds, Chippa Wilson, Albee Layer and Josh Kerr asked for him to be there.

According to DUKE, the Puerto Rican has already traveled to California where he will pick up some boards and leave for Waco in a few days.

The event will be streamed live but there will be a fee to view it, $9 if purchased now and $13 after the date.

The format
Each of the 20 will surf four lefts and four rights and then a wave of their choice (either right or left, depending on what they choose and need). The best left and best right will be scored and the top six will make it to the grand final.

Each of the finalists will surf four lefts and four rights and the one who has the best combination (left + right) will win the tournament.
