Brian Benton, owner of Dive Oahu Company, who recently displaced from the business The Waikiki Beach Boys, a surfboard rental company that rents surfboards, scuba gear and surf lessons to the famous Waikiki Beach Boys, lost its home in a fire on Friday, August 10, several local Hawaiian media reported.

After analyzing all the evidence, officials were unable to determine the cause of the fire and closed the case.

The accident occurred after one of their canoes was destroyed and set adrift last month and their boarding station was doused with kerosene.

According to local media, authorities have estimated the losses at $800 for the structure and $000 for its contents. Although the case has been closed, it may be reopened if new information becomes available.

Benton won the bid to manage the board rental and surf lessons service, among others, and displaced the typical Waikiki "beach boy" who provided these services irregularly.

Several members of the community, several surfers, spent a long time asking people on social media not to hire their services and denouncing what had happened.
