Oceanside to host WSL Junior World Championships

The organization announced today where Kalea Gervasi, Annette and Janire González Etxebarri will fight for the title against the best youth from the different regions.


The waves of the famous Oceanside Pier will host the WSL Junior World Championships from January 9-14, 2024, the organization has just announced in a press release.

The event will bring together the top 24 men and women who qualify for the event through their region and some invited surfers.

After passing through San Diego's Seaside Reef, the tournament moved a few miles within the same county.

Home to current world top 5 surfer Caitlin Simmers, the pier's waves are very consistent and powerful, especially in the winter months.

It was reported that Kalea Gervasi, Bela Nalu, Ryan Kainalo and Heitor Muller will travel to the World Cup in South America.

Meanwhile, the Basque sisters Janire and Annette Gonzalez Etxebarri, the Frenchman Sam Pitter and the Israeli Elay Bochan will travel to Europe.
