On her first wave at G-Land, Brisa Hennessy got a tube
His time in Fiji is paying off
On her first wave at the venue for the sixth stage of the CT, the Quiksilver/Roxy G-Land Pro, Costa Rican took a deep tube in paradise.
“My first wave here, I think when you have no expectations and you don’t know what the reef looks like, sometimes you get lucky. So special and wild to be here. Thanks mom for capturing it while fighting the monkeys,” Brisa wrote on Instagram.
He then added in Spanish: “My first wave here! Thanks for the sweet welcome.”
Hennessy is climbing in Series 2 against Johanne Defay and Bronte Macaulay.
In the video, she is seen tubing deep, exiting at speed and aborting the mission, presumably because the reef was already too close.
He received praise in the comments from several of the best in the world.
The event starts its waiting period on May 28th and ends on June 6th.
