One of the most incredible waves ever surfed at Teahupoo (and in history?)
The video of Matahi Drollet's swell and its included wave
A few days ago at Teahupoo, a mega session took place with the best locals and some already arrived to prepare for the CT.
But the wave of the day, and one of the best of all time, went to local surfer Matahi Drollet, who rode an intermediate wave that was high but not wide.
He dropped deep into a very long and incredibly wide tube. He went through the foam ball, making himself light so the wave wouldn't swallow him up, and emerged successfully.
One of the best waves in recent times at Teahupoo and in history too.
