Open quarterfinals determined; Duhaime and Leão won race 1

After three rounds of Open Men and two of Open Women, the top 16 male and 16 female surfers were determined who will decide the champion of this first Surf City El Salvador ALAS Global Finals.

In particularly hard-fought series with several of the best and several favorites, the quarter-finals ended up like this:

The best wave of the day for women was surfed by Mimi Barona and the best total score was again by Ariane Ochoa.

Anthony Fillingim's best performance of the day at the men's level was with the best wave and the best total score.

Among the Under 18s came the best wave of the day with Miamar Soto scoring a 9,33, which helped him achieve the best total score of the day.

Among the Under 18 men, Pol Huget stood out with the best wave and Darío Vargas with the best total score.
