PASA confirmed 17 countries for the Pan American Games in Guatemala

More than 300 athletes are expected to participate in the tournament, which will take place between July 3 and 13.

The Pan American Surfing Association announced that 17 countries have already confirmed their participation in the Pan American Surfing Championship, which will take place in Guatemala from July 3-13 at Playa El Rosario, Hawaii, and Monterrico.

According to the statement sent yesterday, Monday, the countries that have already confirmed their presence are Argentina, Barbados, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, and Venezuela, bringing the total number of competitors expected to be present at the tournament to more than 300.

The categories that will be contested in the tournament are Shortboard, Longboard, SUP Surf, SUP Technical Race, and Bodyboard, all in both genders with equal numbers.

“This 2025 Pan American Surf Festival is of great strategic importance, as it aligns perfectly with PASA's primary objective of fostering the comprehensive, organic, and continuous development of surfing throughout the Americas. By bringing together athletes from diverse nations and disciplines, the event promotes camaraderie, sporting exchange, and elevates the competitive level of surfing in the region. Furthermore, this festival will act as a crucial preparatory event for the 2025th Central American Games, which will also be held in the waves of El Rosario next October, consolidating Guatemala as an epicenter of continental surfing in XNUMX,” the PASA statement reads.
