Panamanian Izzy Elizondo swept the GromSearch in North Carolina
As a visitor, he won the Under 14 and Under 16 in an event packed with the best American juniors

Panamanian Isauro Elizondo won the Under 14 and Under 16 divisions of the Rip Curl Grom Search, which took place yesterday Thursday in its final stage in small waves at Jeanette Pier, Nags Head, North Carolina, the event's organizers reported on their social networks.
With this result, Izzy, as he is known, qualified for the grand national final of the United States, which will take place in California in November.
Elizondo not only took home both divisions but also won the award for the highest score in the tournament, a total of 18,03.
The Panamanian's victory comes a few days after his Costa Rican neighbor, Aaron Ramirez, won the previous stage of this series of events, a few kilometers south, in New Smyrna, Florida.
