Pérez del Solar, Barona, and Solares won the ALAS of Guatemala

The event concluded on a third consecutive day of powerful waves at El Rosario beach.

Peruvian Lucas Pérez del Solar, Ecuadorian Dominic Barona, and for the first time, a local Guatemalan surfer, Emerson Solar, won the Open men's and women's categories and the Under 18 men's category at ALAS in Playa El Rosario, Hawaii.

A powerful surfer who is accustomed to traveling to the equally powerful waves of Guatemala, he finally achieved victory in the country. He posted a time of 11,93, leaving Salvadoran Jorge Rivas (10,57) in second place, Ecuadorian Maxi Sáenz (8,3) in third place, and fellow Salvadoran Ericson Ortiz (7,2) in second place.

In the women's competition, Dominic Barona's competitive maturity, strong surfing, and experience spoke louder than the rest of the field. He scored 5 points, leaving Salvadoran Julissa Castillos (3,8) in second place, Argentina's Luchy Cosoleto (3,00) in third, and Ecuador's Genesis Borja, the champion of the previous stage, in fourth.

Finally, for the first time, a local won the event in one of the most competitive divisions, the Under-18 division, which has the second largest number of competitors. Emerson Solares shined, winning by almost double the score of second-place finisher Noah Phillips of Chile (12,17 to 6,3). In third place was fellow Chilean Erasmo Cisterna (scored 6,04), and in fourth place was another Guatemalan, Jorge Vasquez (4,77).
