Peru finished fourth in the Backdoor Shootout
By 0,24 they missed out on third place; Billy Kemper was the champion; Cristóbal de Col achieved eighth place and Sebastián Gómez sixth in SUP Surfing
The Peruvian team, made up of Cristobal de Col, Gabriel Villarán, Alonso Correa, Sebastián Correa and Billy Kemper, achieved fourth place in the 2024 edition of the Backdoor Shootout, the organization has just reported; the Inkateam failed to place third by 0,24.
At the individual level, the Peruvians had the participation of the eventual champion of the event, Kemper, who added 24 points to take the victory.
For his part, Cristobal de Col was the best Peruvian and finished eighth with 18,77 points, increasing his total for his team.
Meanwhile, in SUP Surfing, the man from Punta Hermosa, Sebastián Gómez finished sixth.
In addition to Kemper's victory in shortboard, there was also victory for Mo Freitas in SUP Surfing, Manalulu Chandler in longboard and Mel Keawe in Bodysurf.
The winning team was Volcom, which left Snapt 5 in second place.
