Peru is now the team champion at the Pan American Games in Guatemala.
The worst possible result for the Inka Team will be 21 points in 15000 above the Puerto Rican team, which will surely finish the event in second place, Argentina will rank third.

According to DUKE's calculations, the Peruvian surfing team regained the title of Pan American Surfing Champion today at the PASA Games Guatemala 2025 Pan American Surf Festival.
In the worst-case scenario, the Peruvians secured 12876 points, surpassing the 12855 already achieved by the Puerto Ricans, who no longer have any remaining athletes in the event.
That is, with the three Peruvian semifinalists, Catalina Zariquiey, Daniella Rosas, and Sofía Artieda, losing in the semifinals in the worst possible situation and Lucas Pérez del Solar placing fourth, the Peruvians will still beat the Puerto Ricans.
This means that after three years of Brazilian dominance, Peru once again became continental champion.
Puerto Ricans' second place isn't threatened because Argentina, in third place, also has all of its athletes out of the event and is 500 points behind.
Brazil, with eight fewer athletes, will finish fourth, Panama will place fifth, and Chile and Guatemala will compete for sixth.
If Reimundo Berry wins, Chile will finish sixth; if it finishes second or worse, then Guatemala will finish the event in sixth.
