Peru moved into second place in the overall team ranking

The Peruvian team jumped from fourth to second place today in the Pan American Surfing Championship being held in Playa Venao, Panama.
The key to this was that he managed to get two of his longboarders, Piccolo Clemente and Mafer Reyes, into the top eight and six in their categories respectively, while the Puerto Ricans (who were in second place) saw all their competitors fall.
Brazil continues to lead but the gap has narrowed, now the green and yellows have 18503 and the Inkateam 16023.

The six members of round 4 of longboard are: Mafer Reyes (PER), Avalon Hall (USA), Cash Hoover (USA), Jazmine Dean (PUR), Chloe Calmon (BRA) and Lía Díaz (CRC).
The eight men who reached round 4 and are one step away from the medals are: Piccolo Clemente (PER), Julián Schweizer (URU), Carlos Bahía (BRA), Surfiel Gil (ARG), Jonathan Melendres (MEX), Kevin Skvarna (USA), Agustín Cedeño (PAN) and Dorian Torres (CRC).
On the other hand, the shortboarders went into the water, after a full day of longboarding and Joaquín Muñoz Larreta achieved the highest combined score and the best wave (13,23 and a 7,23), thanks to a high area on the powerful shore wave.
