Miguel Tudela made the podium in Martinique
It is his best result of the year that puts him directly in the top 15 of the QS ranking.
Peruvian Miguel Tudela confirmed today, Sunday, the good moment he is going through, after reaching the final in the QS 1000 in San Bartolo two weeks ago, he went to the QS 3000 in Martinique and placed third.
He maintained an impeccable performance throughout the tournament, combining his sharp and fluid backside with occasional aerials when Basse Point let him go to the left.
He has everything to make it to the CT and has just scored his first result of the year that could help him achieve that goal: 1680 points. Now he needs to add approximately 16320 in four events that could classify him for the elite.
In the semis he lost a fight against the former CT, Leo Fioravanti by 18 vs 15,83. The judges were quite generous with the Italian who was more patient and waited for the best waves. The best wave in Tudela was a gem of 8,93 that he got after combining several backside sticks.

Fioravanti's best wave, a 9,43, after doing a snap and a layback snap in which he recovered in a quite incredible way, was an exaggeration, it was for less.
With this result, Tudela will be among the top 15 in the ranking, adding a total of 4330 points.
