The Surf Web Series, the world's online surfing circuit, has confirmed that its seventh stage will be in Peru with the Wong E-Pro Peru, which will take place between January 18 and 30, Surf Open League, the producer, reported in a press release.

After passing through South Africa, Chile, Japan, Mexico, Brazil and recently Australia, the tour arrives in the land of the Incas where it will hold a men's and women's championship.

According to reports, Sofía Mulanovich, Lucca Mesinas, Miguel Tudela, Álvaro Malpartida and the current South American youth champion, Catalina Zariquey, have already confirmed their presence at the event.

The top four in the championship will qualify for the world finals in April, which will bring together the qualifiers from the aforementioned countries and from the upcoming stages in Europe in February, the United States and Hawaii in March.

The event sees surfers compete in heats judged by four judges and the public. Each surfer must submit a wave for each heat.

Round 1 is not a knockout round, the losers go to a play-off series.
