The Surf City El Salvador ALAS Pro began with a marathon day of 24 series and more than nine hours of activities that included the opening ceremony.

Round 1 of the juniors and round 1 of the men's open have concluded.

Several highlights follow below.

Cedrick McCracking cracking the code in the first heat of the day. The one that had the best waves of the day. All photos: ALAS/Demarsan
Benefiting from being in the best moment of waves, Oscar Guzman from Nicaragua took advantage, enjoyed and won his heat.
Guzman, putting pressure... There are a lot of good surfers who don't appear in the WSL, right?
Teo Gale complained about the conditions and the crowd, but when he had to surf Punta Roca with three other people, he seemed like one of the wave. The young Panamanian is a very talented man.
Sean Forester on Italo Ferreira's board that worked perfectly for him. Sean is taller and thinner, Italo is more muscular, they balance each other out so that the same board works for both of them.
When you have the Olympic champion's board, good things happen. That's what they say.
Good things happen.
Maxi Sáenz from Argentina and Ecuador improved a lot in his surfing and was one of the highlights of the day.
Striking 12.
Venezuelan Harold Zunino had the best aerial of the day, but did not complete it... He still passed his series and moves on in the event.
People had fun today in Punta Roca
Samuel Arenivar stood out at home.
Good style is inherited, not earned. Everything in its place.
Axel Castro passed both his series, Open and Junior.
When attacking vertically, let it be vertical. It is 1153 on the clock in the photo.
Canada had a strong presence at this stage of ALAS.
Ryan Kainalo came to seek the title in the open and in the junior, he is breaking through but he has strong rivals.
Tao Rodriguez is razor-sharp. Good fundamentals are good results.
Tosh Talot had a good series today and continued to move ahead in the juniors.
Kai Gale showed talent, showed efficiency in the competition and showed harmony with Punta Roca.
... In tune with Punta Roca
