This is how Day 1 of the ALAS Pro in Isabela, Puerto Rico went.

There were fun waves all day, good surfing, lots of radical maneuvers and some of the best American surfing action.

Joaquín del Castillo picked up where he left off last weekend and advanced to the quarterfinals.
Jobos is primarily a right-hander, but his flying lefts come out.
