Honolua Blomfield was the surfer who made the most heats at the event: Three. Until she met Rachael Tilly.
Blomfield defeated Culhane, Kaleopaa, Taoka, Grospiron and Lemoigne until reaching match 4.
The Hawaiian definitely got along well with El Sunzal, as always.
Making good curves and good hang tens and hang fives
Another who made a titanic effort was Kai Sallas who went from match 2 to the grand final, he entered the water five times and almost made it but Jensen was more inspired.
Sallas went from being fifth in the world to being vice-champion.
Sallas and his family hydrate between sets. The format, with 40 degrees of heat, is quite demanding.
Kaniela Stewart won Series 1 but then fell short against her mentor and friend Kai Sallas.
The Hawaiian caught some good waves anyway.
In addition to doing good walks, Kaniela did good curves
Kelis Kaleopaa, did not show her talent in her series and lost in one.
Natsumi Taoka showed good surfing but could not get past her debut series in match 2
Tilly was solid and went straight to victory

Two-time world champion
Six titles in one photo.
Rogelio couldn't beat Kai Sallas
Soleil did not show anything close to her level but she generated magical moments like the one in the photo.
Soleil surfed just one over eight points and it still wasn't enough.
Sofia Culhane failed to win like last year in the regular season stage of last year.

Four-time champion
It was not Grospiron's day.
