Piccolo Clemente and Maria Fernanda Reyes prepare for the Surf Relik

Peruvians will compete in the modern division of one of the most prestigious longboard tournaments in the world

Peruvian longboarders María Fernanda Reyes and Piccolo Clemente are already in California to compete in the innovative Surf Relik, which will host its first stage on June 24 and 25 in the legendary Malibu, which will be receiving a painted south swell (the same one that activated the green light for the Puerto Cup).

The Relik is slowly becoming the most prestigious event in the discipline in the world;  It calls itself a “world tour” and its two events, in Malibu and Trestles, have the novelty of having a modern longboarding competition and a separate classic one. Meanwhile, the women all compete in the same tournament.

The other novelty is that 150.000 dollars are distributed in the two stages, which is not insignificant for a discipline that is not known for paying a lot of money.

The series have been released (see below), María Fernanda will be seen with Soleil Eriico and Hiroka Yoshikawa. Meanwhile, Piccolo Clemente will be seen with Steven Sawyer and Jack Entwistle. The Peruvian competes in the modern logging division, of course.

There are no Latin or Spanish competitors competing in the classic category, which has a very interesting line up, including the recently crowned Duct Tape Invitational champion, Andy Nieblas.
