Peru's Piccolo Clemente won the final against Punta de Lobos local Rafael Cortez and took his second consecutive Pan American gold.

Clemente had won in Lima 2019, that time facing Uruguayan Julián Schweizer in the final in Punta Rocas.

The grand final, held in giant waves, saw Clemente start quickly with a 6,83 which he then backed up with a 5,33 to add 12,16 which was superior to Cortez's 10,37 who took silver.

The Peruvian was excited after securing his victory and thanked his family and friends. He said he is looking forward to longboarding being confirmed in Los Angeles 2028, which will triple his desire to compete.

The bronze in the category went to the Brazilian Carlos Bahía who earlier had a difficult series against Rafael Cortez.

Cortez, for his part, was applauded by the home fans and said he was proud of the result in front of his entire town.
