Powerful Peruvian team confirmed for the World Cup

After placing 11th overall in the team category in El Salvador, the Inkateam is aiming for the top 10 in the top youth competition on the planet

A powerful Peruvian No. 12 was announced by his country's federation to participate in the 2023 edition of the ISA Junior Surfing World Championships that will take place in Macumba, Rio de Janeiro between November 24 and December 3.

All the Peruvians on the team have talent, good surfing and competitive experience both in ISA world championships and in ALAS tournaments, QSs and even challengers, as is the case of Arena Rodríguez.

The only point that could play against Peru, which will seek to improve on the 11 obtained in El Salvador 2022, is that the wave forecast for Macumba is not good.

Peru was the world champion nation at the 2011 World Junior Surfing Championship held in the Ladies and Gentlemen categories. The Under 18 champion on that occasion was Cristóbal de Col; his younger brother, Noah, will be competing in Brazil in the same category.
