"The previous posts weren't deleted, they were just archived," explained Italo Ferreira's team regarding the two-time champion's actions when he announced he was going to be a father.
"Right now, he wants to share that he's going to be a dad. It's a special moment for him, and he wants to express it on social media," they told Stab.
Ferreira took his IG off a few days ago, only to later post photos with his girlfriend in which they share that they are expecting a child.
Ferreira has just lost the lead in the rankings and faces the final three stages of the Tour in second place.
Lowers, Brazil, and then Tahiti are coming up to determine the finals in Fiji.
In Lowers he will face Marco Mignot, Kelly or Dimitri Poulous.
