The Puerto Cup was lifted from yellow alert and returned to sweet waiting after a powerful southwest swell opened the eyes of several and made many international surfers move to Zicatela.

According to several competitors who spoke to DUKE, the swell will not arrive tomorrow Monday at Zicatela with the expected size and for this reason the organizers have decided to return to standby mode for a big swell.

The Puerto Cup is the independent version of the Puerto Challenge, which is no longer a stage of the world big wave circuit as happened in Punta de Lobos, Pico Alto and Punta Galea, and locals organized their own event.
