The Punta Rocas Open Pro, a QS, Pro Junior and longboard event for men and women that begins tomorrow and runs until Sunday the 20th, will have fun waves to start with and solid waves for its final days, according to forecasting platforms MagicSeaWeed and Surfline.
Both agree that the sea on Tuesday, Wednesday and part of Thursday will have waves of one and a half to two meters (chest height to a little above the head), but then, thanks to the arrival of a southerly swell, it will be between well overhead and double overhead.
The schedule for the tournament has not yet been released, but it is likely to be a busy one with six divisions taking to the water and more than 100 entrants.
