Punta de Lobos epic yesterday, from the water

With the story of the only photographer who was on the channel, Ulises Zacarías, who captured some photos with his own hands

Photos and story by Ulises Zacarías (Click here to follow him on Instagram) - On the cover: Pollo Vargas putting every inch of his 5'8 to the test. Was he short on the board? What do you think?!

When Diego (Medina) invited me into the water, I didn't know it would be big, he didn't even mention it. I got to the tip and it looked tough and we only had an hour and a half before our military friends arrived, so I got in as fast as I could.

There were tubes, waves and a current, that was all I saw. From all the time there, I remember three waves that surprised me and were special.

The first one is from Mere (Cristian Merello) in an impressive cavern right in front of me that we all screamed at.

Pollo Vargas doing an almost horizontal bottom to put on a tight tube with a 5'8.

And obviously Diego's tube that when I saw him it seemed like he wasn't even trying to be relaxed in there.

It was definitely an epic day and I had the privilege of being the only one in the water due to the conditions we are experiencing as a society, Covid, protocols, armed forces and more.

All kids really are beasts, they have huge balls and a desire to dive head first that I still don't fully understand.

Thank you guys for giving me encouragement and these moments of being a wolf.

Keep repeating it. Cheers!

Pollo Vargas seconds from the bottom of the cover. The size of that tube says it all.
Although Diego Medina said that at times the sea was rough, at other times it was epic.
Merello inside a cave. The time and quality that the local puts into Punta de Lobos is pure art.
Surely, seconds after this photo, Ulysses had to row and put all his energy into surviving the series falling on his head. "There were a lot of emotions these two days, yesterday there were three giant series, which put the mettle to the test," he told DUKE.
