Ecuador QS events confirmed for June
Montañita and Salinas appear as the only regional stages; WSL will combine 2020 and 2021 rankings to determine who qualifies for the challengers

Two events to be held in Montañita between June 16 and 20 and in Salinas between June 23 and 27 have been confirmed by the WSL on its website and by the Ecuadorian organization, which informed DUKE.
In addition, a third ALAS championship will be held in the Galapagos between July 1 and 4, which will end up creating the Triple Crown Open in the country.
The points earned from these two events, each at the 1000 level, will be added to the 2020 ranking and used to determine those who qualify for the challengers currently scheduled to take place in Portugal, France and Hawaii between September and October, a WSL competitor told DUKE.
These Challengers are the ones that will determine who goes up to the CT and who goes down.
On the other hand, the Pantín Classic, to be held between June 29 and June 4, and a junior event in Iquique, Chile between September 1 and 30, appear tentative.
Meanwhile, the event in Argentina, which is no longer on the calendar, is hoping to take place in the second half of the year, its organizer, Sebastián Loustau, told DUKE.
