The seventh QS of the 2023-2024 WSL Latin America season, to be held at Stella Maris beach in Salvador, has gone from being worth 1000 to 3000 points, the WSL has just announced in a press release.

This change is of fundamental importance for all the surfers who were unable to attend the QS 5000 in Saquarema because it coincided exactly with the dates of the Pan American Surfing Championship.

Of the six stages completed that are counting towards the regional ranking that classifies for the challenger series, four were 1000 and only the one mentioned had a higher score.

With 3000 points, $60.000 in prizes are awarded, which are divided equally between genders.
