Argentine big wave rider Juan Cruz García Castañón, who spent this winter season in the northern hemisphere riding waves, returned to his home country with the good news that he is the newest member of the Quiksilver Argentina team.

“Welcome to the mountain and wave family... Or rather, in this case, the waves that are mountains!” they exclaimed on Quksilver Argentina’s social media.

“We are proud and very happy to officially announce Juan Cruz as a new member of the Quiksilver team,” they added.

“Big rider, born and raised in Mar del Plata but with the firm idea of ​​​​riding big waves around the world. In 2021 Juan rode the mythical wave of Nazaré, and this year that is starting is full of new challenges. Here we go, to accompany him!”, they concluded.

Juan Cruz returned from Nazaré and is organizing a training course for big wave rescue that will take place on February 19 in Mar del Plata.

The Argentinean got off some waves in Nazaré, both in tow and in paddling.
