Californian Rachael Tilly repeated her victory in El Sunzal and won her third world title, her second consecutive title in the wave after beating Avalon Gall in the second final.

It was a very long day for Tilly, who started her finals-day run in match 1 and won six series to take the cup.

She started by beating Kelis Kaleopaa and Tully White thanks to a wave that came in the final seconds. Then she beat Hirolka Yoshikawa and Chloe Calmón by 0,3 seconds.

When the head-to-head series began, he clearly beat Honolua Blomfield, 15,10 to 12, and once again he narrowly beat Soleil Errico 13,4 to 12,97 with a decision once again on the beach.
