Real estate: Another of Fanning's businesses
The three-time world champion put one of his properties on the Gold Coast up for sale, he bought it for three million, and is now selling it divided into four apartments
Australian Mick Fanning is known for winning three world titles but also for being very careful with his money management.
A couple of moves make this clear: Last year he sold his beer company (along with Parko and Durbo) for around $200 million to a multinational, BeachGrit reported.
Another move that was made public was how his contract with Creatures ended up giving him ownership of the company that has grown with him making decisions and has also earned him a few bucks.
Fanning is also a highly paid employee of Rip Curl, which has sponsored him for years.
Today, BeachGrit reports that the three-time champion has put up for sale a well-located property just a few blocks from Snapper Rocks, which he purchased for $3,1 million in 2007, renovated and divided into four apartments.
The price has not been published but Australian journalist Derek Rielly points out that prices in that area of the Gold Coast are currently exploding and that apartments are selling for millions.
Yes, the rental information is public: 800 per week for large apartments and 500 for small apartments.
The same outlet reports that Fanning owns the building next door, which he bought in 2005 for $1,39 million, and another two houses away, which he bought for $1,2 million in 2006.
