Reidy, Aguirre, Schweizer, Bernales and Barthelmess won in Popoyo
The tour continues this week in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica.

Sam Reidy and Sol Aguirre in the Open, Alejandro Bernales and Brianna Barthelmess in the Under 18, and Julián Schweizer in the Longboard were crowned champions of the Popoyo Pro, the seventh stage of the ALAS 2025 tour and the fifth of the Central American regional.

Sam Reidy's powerful backside made itself felt at the Popoyo point. He was motivated by the fact that his friend and training partner, Darshan Antequera, had won the previous two stages, and he found his momentum.
The complete result of the series was as follows:

For her part, Sol Aguirre made it two for two at ALAS. She competed in Bocas del Toro and won, went on to the US Open, missing the Venao stage, and returned to ALAS and won again.
Raised on the northern left, her backside was key to the victory.

Meanwhile, in the longboard category, defending longboard champion Julián Schweizer, who didn't compete in many stages this year, is making a strong comeback. He finished in Venao and now claimed victory in Popoyo.
The result of the grand final was as follows:

Brianna Barthelmess repeated the feat in Popoyo, winning for the third consecutive stage in the Under 14 and Under 18 categories.

Finally, Alejandro Bernales continues to excel in the U-18 division, battling it out with Thiago Passeri and Romeo Chávez, who placed third and second, respectively.

The tour now continues to Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, where the eighth stage, the fifth of the Central American regional tour, will take place between August 28 and 31.
