Ronald Reyes bets on his fans to get to the world longboard championship
Through GoFundMe, he is asking for $3.500 to travel to Biarritz, France
Legendary Venezuelan longboarder Ronald Reyes has just opened a GoFundMe account to raise $3.500 to help him reach the International Surfing Association World Championships in his category, which will be held in Biarritz, France, between May 26 and June 2.
“My name is Ronald Reyes, I am a professional longboarder, proud to have been a four-time Latin champion. I am a member of the Venezuelan surf team, which is an entity that is not part of the government. However, due to the political and economic crisis in the country, it has been impossible to attract sponsors,” Ronald says on the website.
The Venezuelan holds one of the records for the number of ISA World Cup attendances, having attended almost all of them since the mid- and late 1990s.
